For each new Turnkey project, SCC and its local hospital partner establish a “Special Purpose Company” as the business entity for the clinic. Strategic co-investors and loan providers are invited to participate in its financing together with SCC and the local hospital partner. This co-ownership with the established local hospital is an important confirmation of the sustainability of patient referrals and prices. Scandinavian Cancer Care manages the general design of each clinic. The Clinic however rents its specially designed premises from the local real estate company, usually the same facility provider as for the existing local hospital partner.
Each clinic receives its revenue from patient fees paid by public healthcare, insurance companies and/or private patients or companies. Scandinavian Cancer Care generates income from project management, clinical quality assurance programs and dividends from its shares in the clinics.
